Once your goals are established, our team will provide you with a complete breakdown of the steps it will take to get there.
We can help your with the following:
- Crooked Teeth
- Missing Teeth
- Discoloured Teeth
- Misshapen Teeth
- Changing Face Shape
- Bite Alignment
- Porcelain Veneers
A dramatically different smile in as few as two appointments.
Porcelain veneers are thin, tooth-shaped covers that bond directly to the outside of the tooth, changing the shape, size, or colour of one or more of your teeth. They can be applied over teeth that are damaged, deformed, too short or small, or too widely spaced. They can be made to suit almost any smile and are durable and stain-resistant. If your teeth are strong and otherwise healthy but require a visual makeover, veneers may be the solution.Learn More
- Teeth Whitening
Whitening is one of the quickest, least-invasive ways to improve your smile. We offer both in-office and take-home whitening options, both of which are simple, safe, and effective.
Most people’s teeth yellow or darken with exposure to coffee, tea, tobacco products, and certain foods. As yellowing tends to occur with age, whiter, brighter teeth can make you appear healthier and more youthful. Our professional whitening services penetrate deep below the surface, and are capable of lightening teeth by several shades. Professional whitening can produce much more dramatic results than store-bought products.Learn More
- Composite Fillings
Composite fillings are made from a tooth-coloured resin, allowing them to blend seamlessly with your natural tooth. Unlike traditional fillings—most commonly made of mercury amalgam—composite fillings can be mixed to create an exact match to your existing tooth, making them visually appealing and suited for a number of uses. In addition to filling cavities, composite resin can be used to repair chipped teeth, fill cracks, and even to fill gaps or correct the shape of an undesirable tooth.
Composite fillings are applied much the same as traditional fillings: after the tooth is frozen and any decay is removed, the dentist will fill the hole or cover the damaged area with composite resin before hardening it under a special light. The resin can then be contoured to the perfect shape and polished to give it a tooth-like shine, making it nearly indistinguishable from a natural tooth.
While amalgam fillings “sit” inside the cavity, composite fillings fuse directly to the tooth. They are easy to repair and very durable, capable of lasting more than 10 years with proper care.Book an Appointment
- Dental Bridges
A bridge is a permanent replacement for a missing tooth or teeth, which is anchored to the surrounding teeth using one or more crowns. A missing tooth may cause discomfort, shifting teeth, and impaired speaking and chewing ability. Filling the gap with a bridge can restore the normal feel and function of your teeth—as well as their natural appearance.
Receiving a bridge will likely take two or more trips to the dentist. To start, the teeth surrounding the gap will be shaped to fit under a crown, and an impression will be taken of the teeth and gums to be affected. Between visits, the impression will be used to create a custom appliance with one or two crowns on the side and a false tooth in the middle. The appliance will be installed and adjusted during your second visit, with subsequent appointments if necessary to shape the bridge perfectly to your mouth.
Properly cared for, a dental bridge may last well over a decade.Book an Appointment
Porcelain crowns are designed to fit perfectly over damaged teeth, restoring them and replicating the natural look and feel of regular teeth. They can be used to repair cracked or weakened teeth, or as an aesthetic correction for a badly misshapen tooth.
Receiving a crown generally takes at least two appointments. The tooth will initially be reshaped to fit under the crown, and a cast will be taken of the tooth and the surrounding area. Between appointments, this impression will be used to create a custom porcelain crown, which will fit perfectly over the natural tooth and blend in with the surrounding teeth. The crown will be applied and the shape adjusted during the second visit, with follow-up visits to further adjust the tooth if necessary.
Porcelain crowns may last over a decade with proper care, and are durable enough to withstand chewing and biting almost as well as a natural tooth.Book an Appointment
- Dental & Partial Dentures
Patients who are missing all or a number of their teeth may be fitted for dentures to replace the teeth and restore the shape of their gums, which often shrink following tooth loss. Modern dentures look and feel just like natural teeth, and can be worn during all normal activities, including eating and drinking. Dentures are capable of dramatically restoring a person’s smile, and may even offer an improvement over your natural teeth.
For conventional dentures, the teeth are removed first and the mouth is allowed to heal over the course of several weeks before being fitted for the appliance. An impression is taken of the mouth and gums, and the dentures are custom-fit to the final, long-term shape of your mouth. Immediate dentures are prepared in advance, and can be worn as soon as the teeth are removed. However, they will require more adjustment over time as the bone and gums shrink and shift during the healing process. Immediate dentures are sometimes used to bridge the several-week gap between tooth removal and conventional dentures. Both types of dentures will be adjusted at the time of installation and in the weeks afterward to ensure a perfectly natural, comfortable fit.
Even after the initial healing process is complete, your mouth will continue to change over time. Your dentist will check your dentures regularly, and make adjustments to maintain their proper fit.Book an Appointment
